Running ForexBot2 on Linux

Install dependencies

python -m venv .venv
source .venv/bin/activate
pip install -r requirements.txt

Telegram bot

# Start (runs in background, logs to file)
nohup .venv/bin/python telegram_bot.py >> bot.log 2>&1 &

# Follow logs
tail -f bot.log

# Check it is running
pgrep -a -f telegram_bot.py

# Stop
pkill -f telegram_bot.py

Live signal (CLI)

.venv/bin/python main.py              # H1 summary
.venv/bin/python main.py --detail     # full indicator breakdown
.venv/bin/python main.py --json       # JSON output

Backtest

.venv/bin/python main.py --backtest
.venv/bin/python main.py --backtest --optimize

No GPU required — GPU code is only used by backtest_gpu.py.
